Precautions for rack and pinion installation

    Pinion and rack drive is not easy to bend and deform under a long distance heavy load. It has higher precision than belt drive and lower cost than ball screw drive. Pinion and rack drive is one of the most widely used mechanical drives in modern machinery.

    Gear and rack is divided into straight teeth and helical teeth, and bevel teeth divided into left-handed and a right helix, after the gear and rack production, we should check the rack gears assembly is correct, then check whether the tooth contact is biased towards one end, after running to commissioning, to ensure smooth operation, then seeing if there is proper clearance, at last, we need lubrication of gear and rack before the operation.

 

1. The distributor drive device realizes synchronicity of rack drive device externally in combination with electric gear.

2. Check whether the gear tooth contact is biased to one end. Keep debugging after running to ensure smooth operation.

3. Fasten the first rack with the fastening bolt of grade 12 and according to the corresponding pre-tightening force.

4. Fasten the second rack according to the pre-tightening force, and install the following racks according to this method.

5, It is recommended to use the clamping: rack positioning and fixation (such as using screw clamp and the installation surface compression).

6. Check the straightness of the rack after installation, check the parallelism of the rack and the parallelism between each rack

7. Lubricating the gear rack before operation.
