Wiser lubrication, better maintenance and longer life

Many customers ever asked us the same question: what can they do to maintain the linear guide?

In fact, continuously working will wear away the linear guide and it will shorten the service time of components. Chemical substances such as sweat will also corrode the linear motion guide rail. Meanwhile, the stationary linear rail and the sliding block’s constant maintenance are necessary.

Lubrication is the key way to maintain and ease attrition, it can reduce friction to prevent overheating caused by destruction and deformation.

How should we select lubrication oil or lubrication grease?

If your linear guide is new, don’t worry. All the linear guide we sold to you is injected with enough high lubrication grease. But when the linear block’s stroke is more than 50km, we recommend doing a regular supplement on lubrication grease to avoid the attrition lack of lubrication oil.

Here is the advice for lubrication:

When the LM guideway’s running speed is for high speed(≧35km/min), N32 Lubrication or connecting by pipe to forced lubrication would be better.

When the running speed of LM guideway is for low speed(≦35km/min), lithium lubricating grease is another option.

Why not try to prolong the life of linear rail? Wiser lubrication means better maintenance and longer life.
